The Upper Grand represents 1500 members in seven distinct bargaining units. There are five bargaining units within the Upper Grand District School Board which include: Educational/Special Program Assistants, Occasional Teacher's, Office Clerical and Technical staff, Secondary Teacher's and Professional Student Personnel and two bargaining units from the Wellington Catholic District School Board: Educational Assistants and Office and Clerical.
District 18, comprised of Wellington and Dufferin Counties, stretches from Puslinch in the south to Shelburne in the north east, Mount Forest in the north and to Palmerston to the northwest. It includes Guelph, Orangeville and Fergus.
